Our Philosophy
Here at Baker’s Dozen Montessori, at home daycare and preschool, we focus on fostering the child’s natural curiosity to learn through a wide array of activities and practical life skills that will help them in developing their social, emotional, cognitive and motor skills. Offering a safe and fun learning environment while also keeping the cleanliness and beauty of the space in mind is a priority at Baker’s Dozen Montessori.
Our Teachers
Lindy Howay, owner and operator, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and a love for crafts, food and whole body wellness. While pursuing her degree, she worked at a daycare center with all age groups. After graduating, Lindy has followed her passion, providing independent full-time child care for the past (5) years. Lindy and her Mother, Kirsten Baker work together to provide Montessori based child-care and organic home cooked meals. All of our staff are CPR and first-aid certified as well as trained in proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures with cleaners low in toxins.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs to meet the needs of children from infancy through school age. Our programs include infant and toddler care, and preschool. All programs will have age-appropriate Montessori-based activities. All meals included during the hours of care. Minimal supplies needed from parents.
